A FUTURE KICKSTARTER PROJECT

Meet
CarPet.

A cleaner floor.
A warmer story.

The robotic vacuum that turns your pet’s loose fur into yarn — and knits something you can keep.

COLLECT CARD SPIN KNIT

A DIFFERENT KIND OF CLEAN

From shedding
to socks.

Every day, we sweep up a little piece of the animals we love. Then we throw it away.

What if that fluff could become something warm, personal, and meaningful? CarPet reimagines the robotic vacuum as a quiet artisan in your home — collecting fur, preparing fibers, spinning yarn, and knitting small things.

It’s sustainable in spirit. Emotional by design.
Slightly absurd. And we love it.

A LITTLE LESS WASTE. A LITTLE MORE WARMTH.

Your dog’s fur.
Your winter socks.

FROM FUR TO FABRIC

Not just clean.
Something to keep.

A tiny workshop.
On wheels.

Four stages. One little robot.
Explore the proposed journey from fur to fabric.

A clean floor is just the beginning. The concept separates pet fur from the dust and debris gathered during cleaning.

Collected fibers are prepared and gently aligned. A small carding module turns loose fluff into the beginning of a thread.

The prepared fibers become yarn. The aim is a continuous path from what your pet sheds to something you can make.

A miniature knitting module is designed to make small pieces: socks, mittens, or a tiny scarf. Fur finds a new purpose.

A PRODUCT IN DEVELOPMENT. MODULES AND FINAL PERFORMANCE WILL BE VALIDATED THROUGH PROTOTYPING.

One person’s fluff.
A robot’s raw material.

Sorting comes first. The proposed FurSense module keeps usable fur on its own path, ready for the next stage.

Big idea.
Small stitches.

The next chapter is making the idea work. CarPet brings together robotic cleaning, fiber processing and miniature knitting in a single product concept.

Preparing a prototype is where the questions become real: which fibers work, how they’re cleaned, how the modules fit, and what the finished pieces feel like.

A vacuum.
That what?

Yes, it’s an unusual idea.
That’s a good place to start.

Wait. A vacuum that knits?

That’s the idea. CarPet combines robotic cleaning with fiber preparation, spinning and miniature knitting. The project is in concept and development, with a working prototype as the next milestone.

Will my socks smell like my dog?

The concept includes a cleaning stage before the fibers become yarn. Washing, fiber preparation and the final material are part of the prototype work still to be validated.

Which pets will it work with?

Pet fur is the starting point. Supported coat types, fiber lengths and any blending requirements will be defined through testing. We’ll share those details as development progresses.

Could it make a sweater for my Chihuahua?

Small knitted pieces come first: think socks, mittens and little scarves. Pet-sized fashion is a lovely direction, but the final range will depend on the prototype.

When can I back CarPet?

We’re preparing a future Kickstarter campaign. The launch date, reward tiers, pricing and delivery schedule will be announced with the campaign. There is no active preorder on this page.
